Flexible Input Options

With nothing more than the computer keyboard musicians can speed through an entire composition by using Maestro Notation’s Quick Input feature or use a mouse along with a variety of other note entry methods such as step time and real time note entry with a MIDI keyboard. Drag and drop articulations, dynamics, tempo markings, and more directly into the score. Easily attach these markings to any note or measure with a single mouse click or with the press of a button on the keyboard. When you are happy with your changes you can listen to an accurate reproduction of the music complete with all articulations over your speakers or headphones.

Easy To Use Arranging Tools

Create your music in clean, crisp notation using flexible templates, multiple articulations, and dynamics to satisfy almost any composition’s requirements while having access to an unlimited number of staves and measures in each score. You can choose from dozens of instruments and staff configurations as well as use predefined templates for many different ensembles. Adding special score markings like guitar fingering diagrams and tablature is as easy as pointing and clicking with the mouse.


Flexible Design and Layout Tools

With Maestro Notation you get access to the most powerful layout and page design tools on the market. All of the tools needed are visible in neatly organized pallets at the bottom of the screen so there is no need to go searching through menus to find what you need! Easy to use contextual right click options make it easy to edit various parts of the music without fumbling through menus. Quickly customize the beaming of barred notes (no beams, beam all, beam by time signature, or custom beaming style) while our design tools also allow you to place graphical images directly into the score, move those images around, and customize the look of the entire page to appear exactly the way you want it to. If needed, you can even use Maestro Notation’s ‘Copy as Picture’ feature to copy portions of the score and paste those images into other programs like MS Word and Photoshop.


Multiple Output Options

Once your composition is complete you can easily export or save the completed score as MusicXML, Karaoke, PDF, or as a graphic file (TIFF, BMP, PNG, GIF, JPEG, WMF) at resolutions of up to 1200 dpi. You can even publish ”live” scores to the Internet to share with publishers, students, and colleagues. Scores published to the Internet using Maestro Notation along with the free Maestro Online utility can be viewed in almost any web browser as well as transposed into other keys, printed to an attached printer, or played back over the computer’s speakers. You can quickly export files to MIDI to import into popular sequencing and sampling programs or use our handy part extraction tools which allow you to have different layouts for the full score as well as for each member of the ensemble.


A Detailed and User Friendly Help System

Our handy traditional help system also features a very intuitive contextual help system that follows your actions and provides suggestions on what to do next.
